James P. McCarty 
James P. was born on January 27th, 1799 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. James P.'s father was William McCarty and his mother was Rachel Kyle. His paternal grandparents were James McCarty and Sarah Fugate; his maternal grandparents were Robert Kyle and Leah Brooks. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Robert Kyle, William L., Andrew R., Absalom P., John C., Thomas Jefferson, Elizabeth, Mary, Leah, Martha, Sarah and Rachel B.. He was the sixth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 56 on August 7th, 1855 in , Carroll, Virginia.-
