Absalom P. McCarty 
Absalom P. was born on July 16th, 1808 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Absalom P.'s father was William McCarty and his mother was Rachel Kyle. His paternal grandparents were James McCarty and Sarah Fugate; his maternal grandparents were Robert Kyle and Leah Brooks. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Robert Kyle, James P., William L., Andrew R., John C., Thomas Jefferson, Elizabeth, Mary, Leah, Martha, Sarah and Rachel B.. He was the fourth youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 47 on August 15th, 1855 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.-
