Mary Kite 
Mary was born in 1798 in Rockingham County, Virginia. Mary's father was Adam Kite and her mother was Elizabeth Runkle. Her paternal grandparents were William Kite and Catharine Smith; her maternal grandparents were Lewis Runkle and Catharine. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, Emanuel, Benjamin, William, George W., David, Michael, Sarah, Margaret and Elizabeth.-
