Emanuel Kite 
Emanuel was born in 1790 in Rockingham County, Virginia. Emanuel's father was Adam Kite and his mother was Elizabeth Runkle. His paternal grandparents were William Kite and Catharine Smith; his maternal grandparents were Lewis Runkle and Catharine. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Samuel, Benjamin, William, George W., David, Michael, Mary, Sarah, Margaret and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 63 on October 10th, 1853 in Champaign County, Illinois.-
