Peter Hitt 
Peter was born in 1726 in Germantown, Fauquier, Virginia. Peter's father was Peter Hitt and his mother was Elizabeth Otterbach. His paternal grandfather was Jacob Heite; his maternal grandparents were Hermann Otterbach and Otterbach. He had four brothers and a sister, named John, Joseph, Henry, Harman and Mary Ann. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 84 in 1810 in , Fauquier, Virginia.-
