John Hitt 
John was born in 1715 in Germanna, Fauquier, Virginia. John's father was Peter Hitt and his mother was Elizabeth Otterbach. His paternal grandfather was Jacob Heite; his maternal grandparents were Hermann Otterbach and Otterbach. He had four brothers and a sister, named Joseph, Henry, Harman, Peter and Mary Ann. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 67 in 1782.-
