Martha Hicks

Martha was born in 1856 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.  Martha's father was Nathaniel R. Hicks and her mother was Jannett Gregg.  Her paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Hicks and Mary Smith; her maternal grandparents were Abraham Gregg and Jannette Allison. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Abraham, Edward, Mary Jane, Sarah Rebecca, Rachel Katherine, Margaret Adeline and Julie Annis.  She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.
