Fannie C. was born on March 24th, 1832 in Of, Bourbon, Kentucky. Fannie C.'s father was John Allen Gano and her mother was Mary Catherine Conn. Her paternal grandparents were Richard M. Gano and Elizabeth Ewing; her maternal grandfather was William Conn. She had six brothers and two sisters, named William Conn, Richard M., Robert Ewing, Stephen F., Franklin M., John Allen, Eliza G. and Mary Eliza. She was the third oldest of the nine children.-
