John Martin Droke 
John Martin was born in October 1870 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. John Martin's father was George Washington Droke and his mother was Christina Morton. His paternal grandparents were John Droke and Isabel Wolford. He had seven brothers and a sister, named William James, Samuel Isaac, Marshal Elkanah, Joseph Benjamin, David Miller, Thomas Bruce, Charles Wolford and Susan Eleanor. He was the second oldest of the nine children.-
