Charles Chestnut 
Charles was born in 1877 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Charles' father was Hugh Chestnut and his mother was Hila C. Sanders. His paternal grandparents were Henry Chestnut and Louisa; his maternal grandparents were John Sanders and Martha. He had a brother and three sisters, named John S., Martha Jane, Anna Lynn and Rhoda. He was the youngest of the five children.
