Fannie was born in 1869 in Of, Bourbon, Kentucky. Fannie's father was Buckner and her mother was Mary Eliza Gano. Her maternal grandparents were John Allen Gano and Mary Catherine Conn. She had a brother and two sisters, named Gano, Catherine and Mary. She was the second youngest of the four children.-
