William Brown 
William was born about 1739 in NC. William's father was William Brown and his mother was Charity Holmes. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Brown and Christian Maule; his maternal grandparents were John Holmes and Tamar Bird. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Abner, James, Hardy, Charity, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.-
