Thomas Battle 
Thomas was born on August 13th, 1786 in North Carolina. Thomas' father was William Battle and his mother was Mary Ann Williams. His paternal grandparents were John Battle Jr. and Sarah Browne; his maternal grandfather was John Williams. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Laurence, William, Larken, Alfred, Fred, Elizabeth Williams, Martha Williams and Mary Ann. He was the oldest of the nine children.
