Martha Williams Battle 
Martha Williams was born in 1799 in North Carolina. Martha Williams' father was William Battle and her mother was Mary Ann Williams. Her paternal grandparents were John Battle Jr. and Sarah Browne; her maternal grandfather was John Williams. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Laurence, William, Larken, Alfred, Fred, Elizabeth Williams and Mary Ann. She was the third youngest of the nine children.
