James N. Allen 
James N. was born on August 9th, 1822 in , Bourbon, Kentucky. James N.'s father was Adoniram Allen and his mother was Mary Or Polly Cail. His paternal grandfather was Allen; his maternal grandfather was Jacob Cail. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Adniram, William, Amanda, Louisa and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the seven children.
