Sarah was born on August 15th, 1682 in Perquimans Co., NC . Sarah 's father was Christopher NICHOLSON and her mother was Ann ATWOOD. Her paternal grandparents were Edmund . NICHOLSON and Elizabeth SIMPSON ; her maternal grandfather was Thomas ATWOOD . She had two brothers and three sisters, named Christopher , Thomas, Elizabeth , Elizabeth and Ann. She was the second oldest of the six children. She had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Samuel , Joseph , John, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Deliverance , Hannah and Jane (Jean Jeane). She died at the age of 35 on March 13th, 1718 in Pasquotank Pct., NC.General Notes
Married: 5 May 1699 James Newby, son of John Newby and Magdalene ____. After Sarah died, he wed 18 May 1719 to Elizabeth (White) Davis, dau of Henry White and Mary.
