Thomas Newton was born on November 27th, 1860.1   Thomas Newton's father was Asa Hunsucker and his mother was Dica Williams.  His paternal grandparents were George Thomas Hunsucker and Martha Wood. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Millard F, Enoch W, Albert S, John, Martha Jane, Camilla and Susan.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Jesse P, Ascan, Wiley, Oscar and Rosa.  He died at the age of 81 on July 14th, 1942 in Blackjack Cemetery, Sladen, Mississippi.1
