Parthenia was born about 1797 in Hickman County, Tennessee.1   Parthenia's father was Robert Evans Grinder and her mother was Pricilla Knight.  Her paternal grandparents were John Grinder and Mary ?. She had six brothers and a sister, named John C, Robert Evans, Albert Storey, Hullett W, Noble J, William G and Eliza.  She died in Tennessee or Arkansas.1
