Leiothy was born about 1872.1 Leiothy's father was Erasmus Richard Dickins and her mother was Hester Brint. Her paternal grandparents were Uriah Dickins and Susannah May. She had three sisters named Hester Ann Elizabeth, Emantha and Tennessee. She was the second youngest of the four children. She had six half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John A, Granville, Thomas E, Uriah H, James Lewis Cleveland, William Elbert, Laura Ann Elizabeth, Dova Blanche, Julia Christina and Bertha M.General Notes
