John R. Field 
John R. was born about 1861.1 John R.'s father was Samuel Field and his mother was Matilda Layton Field. His maternal grandparents were Elias Layton and Mary Walls Layton. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Truman C., Lewis E., Charles A., Layton, Frank, Clara J., Nancy J., Rebecca A., Sarah E. and Theodocia. He was the oldest of the eleven children.1 -
