John De Berkeley 
John was born in 1277 in Berkeley Castle, Gloucestershire, England. John's father was Thomas "The Wise", 1st Lord De Berkeley and his mother was Jane Joan De Ferrers. His paternal grandparents were Maurice "The Resolute" De Berkeley and Isabella De Chiham; his maternal grandparents were Sir William, 7th Earl of Derby Ferrers and Margaret De Quicy. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Maurice, 2d Lord, James, Thomas, Alice, Margaret and Isabel. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 40 in 1317.-
