Chase Venard Murphy 
Chase Venard was born on August 7th, 1893 in Winamac, Pulaski County, IN. Chase Venard's father was Nathan Archibald Murphy and his mother was Mary E. "Mollie" Venard. His paternal grandparents were William Kerr Murphy and Sarah Elizabeth Slane; his maternal grandparents were Milton Venard and Frances Maria Borders. He had a brother and a sister, named Clancy Kerr and Hazel Kerk. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 69 on March 28th, 1963 in Winamac, Pulaski County, IN. Chase had rheumatic fever as a small boy; so he never grew up and always lived with his mother. After her death he became a resident of the County Farm. Great-nephew, Allan, liked to play catch with Uncle Chase.
