Mary Jane Hancock 
Mary Jane was born on February 16th, 1826 in Harrison County, Indiana.1 Mary Jane's father was Mathew Hancock and her mother was Elizabeth Hooker. Her paternal grandparents were John Hancock and Jane Skeen; her maternal grandparents were Benjamin Hooker and Ann Frizzelle. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin Hooker, Jonathon Frizzele, William, Rebecca Ann, Amelia Dawson, Sarah E. and Chloe Francis. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 75 on April 15th, 1901 in Posey Twp., Harrison Co., Indiana. She was buried in Hancock Chapel Cemetery, Hancock Chapel, Harrison County, Indiana.1 General Notes
