Benjamin was born in 1718 in Trenton, Burlington, NJ.1   Benjamin's father was William Yard and his mother was Mary Tindall.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Yard and Mary Salisbury. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, William, John, Jethro, Mary and Elizabeth.  He was the second youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 90 in 1808 in Trenton, Burlington, NJ.1
