Joan West

Joan was born in 1631 in Newport, Newport, RI.¹   Joan's father was Matthew West and her mother was Unknown.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas West and Elizabeth Sankey. She had six brothers named Robert, Nathaniel, Bartholomew, Francis, John and Francis.  She was the third youngest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 45 in 1676 in Portsmouth, Newport, RI.¹
