William Hefley

William was born in 1793 in , Chester, SC.  William's father was Phillip Thomas Hefley and his mother was Mary Dever.  His maternal grandfather was Nathan Dever. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Andrew, John, Michael, Martin, George, August, Phillip H, Henry, Unknown and Mary Amanda.  He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.  He died after 1860 in , Tippah, MS.
