August Hefley

August was born in 1797.  August's father was Phillip Thomas Hefley and his mother was Mary Dever.  His maternal grandfather was Nathan Dever. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Andrew, John, Michael, Martin, William, George, Phillip H, Henry, Unknown and Mary Amanda.  He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.  He died before 1850 in Mobile, Mobile, AL.
