Gideon Dewey 
Gideon was born on February 11th, 1795 in CT.1 Gideon's father was Gideon Dewey and his mother was Joanna Allen. His paternal grandparents were Moses Dewey and Sarah Dewey; his maternal grandparents were David Allen and Joanna Severance. He had three brothers and a sister, named Solomon, William, David McNair and Betsey. He was the third oldest of the five children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Miles Sheldon, Sylvester B, Birdsey and Lavinia. He died at the age of 70 in 1865 in , Tioga, PA.1 -
