Raimund de Burgundy was born in 1065 in Bourgogne, Burgundy, France.1 Raimund de Burgundy's father was Guillaume I "le Grand" Ct de Burgundy and his mother was Stephanie (Etiennette) de Barcelona. His paternal grandparents were Renaud I Palatine Ct de Burgundy and Eleanora de Normandy; his maternal grandparents were Raimund Berenger II the Elder Ct de Barcelona and Almode de la Haute Marche. He had two sisters named Sibylle and Gisele. He was the oldest of the three children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Etiene I "Tete-hardi" de Macon and Ermentrude (Ermenson). He died at the age of 42 on May 24th, 1107 in Grajal, France or León, Spain.1 -
