Baudouin VI the Peaceable was born in 1030 in Flanders, Normandy, France.1 Baudouin VI the Peaceable's father was Baudouin V the Pious Ct de Flanders and his mother was Adela (Alix) Capet de France Cts de Contenance. His paternal grandparents were Baudouin IV "Fair Beard" Ct de Flanders and Ogive de Luxemburg; his maternal grandparents were Robert II Capet the Pious King of France and Constance de Arles. He had a brother and a sister, named Robert I 'le Frison' and Matilda (Maud). He had two half-sisters named Alix and Elena. He died at the age of 40 on July 17th, 1070 in Abbey of Hanson, France.2 -
