Mason Jeptha was born on July 1st, 1825 in Mason Co, WV.1 Mason Jeptha's father was Daniel Taylor Casto and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Shamblin. His paternal grandparents were John Jackson Casto and Sarah Unknown. He had two brothers and nine sisters, named Hiram, George Washington, Martha, Sarah Jane, Nancy E, Mary Elizabeth, Permelia Amelia, Elizabeth, Lydia Margaret, Hannah and Harriet. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 54 on October 9th, 1879 in Douglas co, KS.1 -
