Lydia Margaret was born in August 1838 in , Jackson, WV.1 Lydia Margaret's father was Daniel Taylor Casto and her mother was Mary Elizabeth Shamblin. Her paternal grandparents were John Jackson Casto and Sarah Unknown. She had three brothers and eight sisters, named Hiram, Mason Jeptha, George Washington, Martha, Sarah Jane, Nancy E, Mary Elizabeth, Permelia Amelia, Elizabeth, Hannah and Harriet. She was the third youngest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 85 on April 20th, 1924 in Richmond, Ray, MO. She was buried in 1924 in Hope Cemetery, Galesburg, IL.1 1 -
