Mehitabel Cary 
Mehitabel was born in 1765 in Dutchess, NY.1 Mehitabel's father was Eleazer Cary and her mother was Charity Sturdevant. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Cary and Mary Poole. She had four brothers named John, Samuel, Benjamin and Comfort. She was the second youngest of the five children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Nathan and Bettie.-
