Abigail was born in 1775 in Scotland, Windham, CT.1 Abigail's father was James Cary and her mother was Abigail Kingsley. Her paternal grandparents were Benajah Cary and Deborah Perkins. She had three brothers and two sisters, named James, Benajah, Sanford, Anna and Sally. She was the oldest of the six children.-
