Alexios III Angelus was born in 1143 in of Constantinople, Turkey.1 Alexios III Angelus' father was Andronikos Angelos Dukas Angelos and his mother was Euphrosyne Kastamonitissa. His paternal grandparents were Konstantinos Angelos Emp of Angelos and Theodora Komnena; his maternal grandfather was Theodoros Kastamonites. He had a brother named Isaak II Angelus. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 68 in 1211.1 -
