Theodora was born in of Constantinople, Turkey.1 Theodora's father was Alexios I Komnenos Byzantine Emp and her mother was Irini Dukaina. Her paternal grandparents were Ioannis Komnenos and Anna Dalassena; her maternal grandparents were Andronikos Dukas of Byzantium Byzantine Emp and Marija of Bulgaria. She had a brother named Ioannis II Komnenos.-
