Alexios I Komnenos Byzantine Emp 
Alexios I Komnenos was born in 1048 in Constantinople, Turkey.1 Alexios I Komnenos' father was Ioannis Komnenos and his mother was Anna Dalassena. His paternal grandfather was Manolis (Michael) 'Erotikos' Komnenos; his maternal grandfather was Alexios Charon Dalassenes. He was an only child. He died at the age of 70 on August 15th, 1118.1
