Sarah was born in January 1813 in , Antrim, Ireland.  Sarah's father was Robert Beggs and her mother was Sarah Whiteford. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Robert, Thomas, Hugh, Margaret, Mary Ellen and Jane.  She died at the age of 74 on April 20th, 1887 in Tyner, ND.  She was buried in April 1887 in Tyner Cemetery.
