Maxine Edna was born in 1907. Maxine Edna's father was Oscar Dickey Beggs and her mother was Mae Martin. Her paternal grandparents were Abram Leonard Beggs and Amanda Bush. She had a brother and two sisters, named James Leonard, Dorothy and Frances Amanda. She was the second youngest of the four children.-
