Benjamin James was born on December 2nd, 1862 in South Mountain, Ontario, Canada. Benjamin James' father was William James Beggs and his mother was Margaret Storey. His paternal grandparents were Robert Beggs and Janet (Jennie) Magee; his maternal grandparents were Benjamin Storey and Jane Hogg. He had two brothers and a sister, named Robert, William Samuel and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had a half-sister named Bertha. He died at the age of 61 on July 8th, 1924 in Minneapolis, Hennepin, MN. He was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Eden Prairie, MN.-
