Robert of Mortain 
Robert was born in 1031.1 Robert's father was Herluin de la Conteville and his mother was Herleva de Falaise. His maternal grandparents were Fulbert de Falaise and Duxia de Falaise. He had a sister named Emma. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Robert de Burgo de Mortain, William II the Bastard, William and Adeliza de Normandy. He died at the age of 64 in 1095.1 General Notes

Robert de Mortain, Earl of Cornwall, half-bro. of William the Co nqueror and a companion at the Battle of Hastings, 1066; m. Mau d de Montgomery, dau. of Roger de Montgomery, d. 1094, Earl of S hrewsbury, Vicomte of the Hiesmois, Seigneur of Montgommeri in N ormandy, by his wife, Mabel, d. 1079, dau. & h. of William Talva s, d. 1070, prince of Belleme, Seigneur of Alencon (a kinsman o f Robert, Duke of Normandy).
