Louis II was born in 0844.1 Louis II's father was Charles II of France and his mother was Ermentrude d'Orleans. His paternal grandparents were Louis I of France and Judith of Bavaria; his maternal grandparents were Count of Orleans Odo and Engeltrude. He had a sister named Judith. He had two half-sisters named Hersent and Rothilde. He died in Compiegne.1 General Notes
