Pepin was born in 0714.1 Pepin's father was Charles Martel and his mother was Routrou. His paternal grandparents were Pepin of Heristal and Aupais; his maternal grandfather was Lievin. He had a brother and a sister, named Carloman and Aude.1 General Notes
