Aumary I was born in 1077.1 Aumary I's father was Boso II de Chastellerault and his mother was Eleanor de Thouars. His paternal grandparents were Hugh de Chastellerault and Gerberga de la Rochefoucauld; his maternal grandparents were Aimery IV Vct de Thouars and Ameline Moulcon. He had a half-brother named Aimery I. He died at the age of 74 on November 7th, 1151 in l'Isle-Bouchard, France.1 General Notes
