Gerald was born about 1200.1 Gerald's father was Philip de Prendergast and his mother was Maud de Quincy. His paternal grandfather was Maurice de Prendergast; his maternal grandparents were Robert de Quincy and Basile de Clare. He was an only child. He died in 1251.1 General Notes
