Muriel Marie was born on January 2nd, 1892 in Pomaria, Newberry County, South Carolina.1 Muriel Marie's father was John Adam Summer and her mother was Alice Magdalena Efird. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Summer and Frances (Fannie) Mayer. She had a brother and three sisters, named William Carl, Jessie Magdalena, Henrietta Lois and Rosalyn. She was the youngest of the five children. She died at the age of 82 in 1974 in Pomaria, Newberry County, South Carolina. She was buried in Summer Graveyard #1, Pomaria, SC.1 1 -
