Ralph Layton's father was Ollie L. Shealy and his mother was Zenith Riser. His paternal grandparents were Could also be Cohens Luther Shealy and Adella Wessinger. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Jack Durham, Wilbur Lester, Mary Virginia, Living and Zenith Elizabeth. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Wofford M., Heyward and Gurstal Gertrude.-
