Weis is apparently in error in making her a daughter of Hugh o f Bourges. Charles the Bald did NOT have two daughters named Roh eut and Rothilde. As best I can tell, this solution was suggeste d by Depoin, where it was picked up by Moriarty, and from him Sh eppard. The problem is that Rotilde didn't marry Hugh. She mar ried Roger, Count of Maine (as shown by Werner), who was a kinsm an of Hugh. Thus, as presented by Keats-Rohan, in her recent ar ticle on the early 'Hugonid' Counts of Maine, it is likely tha t Richilde wife of Thibaud was daughter of Roger and Rothilde.
