Lella's father was S.S. Lindler and her mother was Ella Sease. Her maternal grandparents were Josiah Richard Wesley Sease and Frances M Rawl. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Sheppard, Stephen, Harry, John, Essie and Frances.-
