Alfonso II the Chaste de Aragón was born in May 1152 in Aragón, Spain.1 Alfonso II the Chaste de Aragón's father was Raimond Berenger V the Saint Ct of Barcelona and his mother was Petronilla Ramirez Queen of Aragón. His paternal grandparents were Raimund Arnolda Berenger Ct of Barcelona and Dulce I de Gevaudan de Milhaud; his maternal grandparents were Ramiro II Sanchez the Monk King of Aragón and Agnes de Aquitaine. He was an only child. He died at the age of 43 on April 25th, 1196 in Perpignan, Pyrennes-Orienta, Aragón, France.1 General Notes
